Summer Experience gives your child the opportunity to experience the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. During his or her week of camp, your child will visit all the Zoo’s regions and get an in-depth opportunity to learn about our natural world.
Your child will participate in a variety of fun activities and lessons designed to promote awareness of our environment. Some of the activities the campers will enjoy include arts and crafts, songs, games, hands on animal experiences and group play.
Lots of time will be spent outdoors, so please make sure your child dresses accordingly. Leave their “best” clothes at home, but send them with plenty of sun block!
In addition every camper will take home a group photo and a specially designed t-shirt to help them remember their fun week.
Each age level will experience a different topic.
Grades 1 & 2 - The Fabulous Five: Discover how animals rely on their five senses to survive.
Grades 3 & 4 - Conservation Connection : Travel to the world biomes and learn what is being done to conserve the species that live there.
Grades 5, 6 & 7 - Zoo Conservation Investigators (Z.C.I.): Get your hands dirty investigating conservation issues in your backyard and around the world.

EXTENDED CARE
Need to drop your child off early? Need to pick your camper up later? Extended care may be the thing for you!
Extended Care is offered during specific weeks of the summer. If you enroll, you may drop your child off at Before Care as early as 8 a.m. and pick him or her up from After Care as late as 5:30 p.m.
Extended Care Fees:
Before Care
A & B groups (first - fourth grades) - $50
C groups (fifth - seventh grades) - $40 (no drop off on Fridays)
After Care
A & B groups (first - fourth grades) - $65
C groups (fifth - seventh grades) - $50 (no pick up on Thursdays)
Both Before and After Care
A & B groups (first - fourth grades) - $115
C groups (fifth - seventh grades) - $90
To register for extended care, use a separate line on the registration form. Write in either Before Care, After Care or Both. Include the fees for Extended Care in the total class fees and include one payment.
