Internships/Student Assistants

Zoo Interns

Animal Care Internships

Thank you for your interest in our internship program! The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium offers Animal Care Internships in six different regions: Heart of Africa, Asia Quest, Australia and the Islands, Congo Expedition, North America, and Shores. Due to the high volume of applications we receive each year, candidates must apply for their top two (2) internships, rather than all of them.
The Human Resources Department administers the Zoo's Internship program but interns will report directly to individual supervisors in the various regions. We do not provide housing for our interns. It is the responsibility of the intern to arrange and pay for housing and all other associated costs of living for the duration of the internship. All positions will remain open until filled.

We are accepting applications for the spring 2016 internship program.
Summer internship applications will be available starting March 2016.
