Explore the heart of animal wellness at the Columbus Zoo with this exclusive tour!
Discover the collaborative efforts of the Animal Health and Animal Care teams as you go behind the scenes at the largest zoo in Ohio's Animal Health Center. Join an Education team member as they unveil various facets of animal wellness, tour the facility, explore the rooms where important procedures occur, and then head over to the Wild Encounters building. Here, you'll meet one of our incredible animals and witness a training demonstration that emphasizes wellness behaviors (animal availability will vary).

Know Before You Go
- Admission to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is required and NOT included.
- Guests must be 10 years of age. All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Groups will be combined for a tour of up to 6 guests.
- Please note that once you have booked an experience, you have secured your exclusive reservation. If you do not attend on your scheduled date or cancel within 48 hours of your tour date, no refunds will be issued.
- Due to the location of tours within animal habitats and the disruptions external animals can cause, service animals are not permitted on this tour. Please call 614-645-3400 for further information.
