POWELL, Ohio – Spring fun is in full bloom at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! From celebrating Earth Day to supporting the Zoo’s many conservation initiatives, there is something for everyone at the Zoo. The list of upcoming events is as follows:
APRIL
Eggs, Paws and Claws, April 19 and 20, 9 a.m – 5 p.m.
Hop, skip or jump over to the Columbus Zoo on April 19 and 20 for Eggs, Paws and Claws – an annual springtime tradition for Central Ohioans of all ages. As part of the fun, the Zoo will offer “egg-citing” activities for both families and animals from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day, including photos with the Easter Bunny and meet and greets with other characters, special animal enrichment and more!
Party for the Planet™: An Earth Day Celebration, April 27, 9 a.m – 5 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day at the Columbus Zoo at our Party for the Planet! During this celebration, guests can learn more about Zoo-supported conservation programs through conservation chats, visit Earth Day-inspired activity stations, as well as learn about other ways that we can all work together to improve life on earth for all living creatures.
MAY
Wine for Wildlife, presented by OhioHealth, May 11, 6 p.m – 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a festive evening sipping fine wine and enjoying delicious food in the name of advancing the Zoo’s many conservation initiatives. This is the 10th anniversary of Wine for Wildlife, and since the event’s inception, event patrons have raised over $1.5 million for wildlife conservation. Mother’s Day, May 12, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Celebrate the mothers in your life with a free trip to the Zoo on Mother’s Day. On May 12, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering free admission to all mothers and grandmothers who are accompanied by at least one of their children/grandchildren, regardless of age.
HOOFit Walks presented by OhioHealth, May 21, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Come walk and talk with an OhioHealth physician and a Zoo animal expert to learn how you can stay healthy and fit—and how Columbus Zoo animals do, too! This month’s walk is called “The Elephant in the Room: Identifying mental health needs in yourself and loved ones.”
